Awaiting test results

I sprayed down my wig this morning.
In anticipation of dying a wig for the first time I read a dozen or so articles, Q&As, and recipes to be sure I did everything right. That said, I'm not sure I'll return home to find the results I want.

One cup (8oz) of isopropyl alcohol to 7 or 8 drops of acrylic ink or the ink of a few sharpies. For cost reasons I chose the acrylic and purchased a jar of speedball in turquoise. I don't know what some of them were doing, because where as at least one person said this was enough to dye their wig plus some, I used about 24 ounces to cover everything completely. I was prepared for that eventuality, so now big deal.

That said, I'm worried I'll come home to find that the created dye just didn't take. There were spots, especially the crown, where I would spray, turn around, and find they looked just as white as before. Maybe it's a matter of it being wet? Or maybe the dye was undersaturated? Perhaps I'm merely imagining things? Either way, we'll see.

I left the wig on the patio to dry while I'm at Church and Choir, and 4+ hours in the Phoenix heat should be more than enough time to dry. XD I just don't think I have any more alcohol so any more wig dying will have to wait until after work tomorrow- though I'm hoping it won't come to that.
