I love how when I don't post anything, no one looks at this blog at all. XD
Okay, okay, it probably makes sense. I post, people who are interested enough to be "following" Cosplay Conspiracy come and the read the post, and everyone is happy. But still, no search results; no random 'I'm just curious's nothing. Evidently, I need to work on putting myself out there more...
So, just a quick update on a few things:
My day off was a complete waste of time. The only saving grace about it was that I purchased several yards of various fabrics, (including crepe, knit, and lycra), at Saver's for less than $30. The amount of lycra I purchased, in white, blue, and purple, would cost more than that at any fabric store. These are all sitting in a box, now that they have been laundered, waiting for me to do something with them.
I've also pulled out all the materials and patterns for Jackie's FFX Lulu costume. As it stands I'm using Simplicity 5726 "A" with sleeves from McCall's 2339 "H"; and Simplicity 7215 "B" for the corset. I may change my mind and use "B" from 5726, because 7215 in much more involved when it comes to the boning. The boning on 5726 is straight up and down, and could look more authentic. We'll see, I have very good reasons for wanting to use 7215's.
Anyway! The catch is that, while I swear we bought a pattern, and Jackie has confirmed this, I have nothing beyond the fabric and lining for the skirt. Surely we bought one, because we had to have some way of measuring how much vinyl we would need, and that is sitting in my sewing room as I type. But I cannot find anything anywhere. Not in my "Jackie's Cosplay" box, not with my patterns- nothing. Still, McCalls' patterns are on sale next weekend, so I'll probably just pick up something new. It's not like I won't be going to the JoAnn's anyway...
