And a skirt, of course

The skirt went together fairly quickly. I show it here in two pictures so both the shape of the top, and the fullness of the bottom are captured. I can't wait to have Sil try it on so we can see where we stand! She reports she be in my neck of the woods in a couple of weeks, so I can edit things personally instead of shipping it to her and try to phone in the edits. XD


I still have not gone to the fabric store, so no progress on the corset. Now that the skirt is at a standstill I'll be working on the bodice/fur stole. We had originally discussed attaching the stole directly to the corset, but I think I would like to create a separate garment for it to be attached to. The idea is that things will lie better if created separately and then, if there are any issues, they'll be independent of each other.

Creating the chemise for the fur to be sewn to will be easy. Determining how best to connect the two is going to be a little more difficult. But we'll keep working on that. ;)
