The only progress picture I have right now is the one I sent Sil in a next the other day. Instead of transfering this to the computer, and everything else, I'm updating from my phone.
Lulu is nearly done. I cannot believe that I put her off for so long, just to find out she's going together in a snap! The sleeves are now connected to the chemise, though that was a bit of a challenge. I have been top stitching the seams on the pleather (as much as I can). The side seams on the skirt aren't topstitched, because of the amount of fabric that would be bunched up in the attempts. The sleeves are each one, conical piece and in the end I could only top stitch them up about two-thirds of the way. When I reached the upper arm, there was not enough room to move the narrow end of the fabric tube through. Thankfully these seams are on the under, less seen side of the sleeves, and the upper arms are largely covered by the fur- but it was still irritating!
And I still don't have the right bias tape. I forgot to bring the package with me to exchanged when I went to the store on Monday. I had thought about using one of my coupons to take a new package down by 50%, but then needed that coupon on a cutting of fabric. (I'd rather save $12 than $1.20, when it comes down to it.) Rather than pay full price I figured I'd still just exchange the other one... Or not. Two days later I haven't gone back to the store, and now I can't find the reciept. Oh well. When I go tomorrow I'll just buy the darn tape.
Once I get the appropriate tape it won't take me long to stitch it all up, or to install the eyelets. In looking forward to seeing Sil this weekend! I miss her tons and can't wait to see the costume on her!
